Manhar Foundation

A nonprofit research organisation that focuses on physical and mental health in order to better understand, treat, and prevent diseases.

We are working to enable everyone to receive affordable and accessible disease diagnosis and treatment. Our aim is to investigate and study advancements in antimicrobial resistance and mental health to lower implementation obstacles.

Mission

We aim to make disease diagnosis and treatment accessible and affordable to all. We examine and research innovations in antimicrobial resistance and mental health in order to reduce barriers associated with implementation.

Dr Roshan Naik
Dr Roshan Naik
Dr Roshan Naik carried out his PhD work at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, Munich, Germany where he examined role of genes/proteins in anxiety and depression-related behavior. His work hs been published in Translational Psychiatry, The Journal of Neuroscience and European Journal of Neuroscience. He has nearly 12+ years of international R & D experience, has been funded and supported by International Brain Research Organization, International Behavioural and Neural Genetics Society, European Molecular Biology Organization. He aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and depression.

Swaroopa
Swaroopa, an undergraduate teacher by profession, an avid art lover, crocheter and photographer. She revived her interest in crochet while living abroad to combat loneliness in a foreign world, miles away from family and friends. .
Through her work, she became part of @yarnbombingsg and participated in various activities focused on mental well-being among youngsters and aged. Having interacted with students of different age groups through her academic experience made her realise that art/crochet can be used as a stress reliever. It helps to relax, focus and beat anxious feelings.
Her future goal is to help people of different age groups to step forward and practice the beautiful amalgamation of art/ crochet and relaxed mind.
Dr Shilpa R Pandya
Dr Shilpa R Pandya
Dr Shilpa R Pandya has done her basic medical training(MBBS) and post-graduation(DNB) in Psychiatry in Mumbai. She has more than 12 years of clinical experience. She has worked in Sion Hospital, Mumbai and also G B Pant Hospital Port Blair. She Has been practicing in Vasco, Dabolim, Chicalim and nearby areas for more than 4years now. Currently she is working as head of psychiatry in South Goa District Hospital, Margao and is also a visiting Consultant psychiatrist in V. M Salgaokar Hospital, Chicalim and Mesquita Hospital, Vasco. She has her own Clinic 'SRP Clinic' in Dabolim. She has a special interest in community and rehabilitation psychiatry.

Dr Charuta Deshpande
Dr Charuta Deshpande, BHMS, MD Psychiatry (Hom) and Counsellor, is on a mission to help people lead a stress- free life by addressing their emotional and physical symptoms of various mental health and stress related disorders. Her national and international experience over the past 10years, makes her equipped with dealing with clients coming from all walks of life, cultures and experiences. In Singapore, she runs a successful practise for the past 5years. Her volunteering experience on Suicide, woman care and children helplines adds on to her vast experience of practise. Her approach is to offer Holistic and Preventive mental health care in order to achieve greater balance, long-lasting wellness and happiness for the patients.
